Plenty of time to dazzle, twisting plots and turning phrases. An escapade too plenitude to retell. Tread along reminisces on the verge, you might marvel at such endless narration. I might tell you an anecdote: difficult to believe, a treat of thrill, breezy mystery, and humbly witty appeal. These might rarely reveal to tabloid, too personal and exclusive story of yrs. truly. Though maybe a delight to your leisure with probable lesson of one or two; it demands an appreciative audience. Everyone likes a good laugh and memoir. Doesn't it?
Witness a gibble-gabble of enormous volume and variety of scenes!
The selection amid choices was on my hand, I followed my guts and fulfilled my dream: I had chosen Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa Sr., Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology as the school where I will indulge my four-year college life.
Just a short back story way back on high school, I had my favorite Biology teacher. I found out that she graduated from the mentioned school. I was filled with curiosity and right then it sticks on my mind. My instinct was captivated by impressions: probably this school is one of the factors contributing her excellent teaching skills.
I wanna go there too. I was persuaded by an intense calling.
So much with that- it was like one step and there's a transition happened. The lifestyle that I experience on Naro, was a bit different to what I will enact.
"What a vast!"
That was my first impression. Amid the journey full of greens, diverse panoramic view: hidden is an institution promising quality education.
Finally, I started the official quest by traveling alone carrying hoard of things. Four luggage, all mine. Alone.
And it was okay. Sometimes life requires us to be independent, more to challenge and test our capabilities. I survived and set my feet to my new home away from home.
The whole context was new: people, surrounding, lifestyle, and more.
I can still remember my first day. With plain white T-shirt, black skinny jeans, converse shoes and an orange Jansport backpack. I trotted to and fro within throng of people at the Teacher Education Institute building (now, College of Education), checking for postings (schedule).
Gladly I met familiar faces. I had finally acquainted new friends: A company of two ladies and a gay.
First class and the introduction cliché was held. I was impressed by their "English", theirs was such golden tongue of ability, producing the language like a native speaker. Wow.
Slowly but surely I began to be accustomed on complying house chores (the practical and reality of independence). The entries of my first year paradigm:
I remember, one time, a courageous trek I stake amid heavy rain. Early bird to a class of Mrs. C (as we were fully challenge to the standard she'd set). Truly a noble act of no class hahaha!
Then, an activity resembles " Who Wants to be a Millionaire, " take note, erase the letter M, it must be Grade💁. The class was grouped and required to study related computer history, inventors, and the like. Each group, settled in front during actual presentation as the hotspot and being fried with questions by the rest of the class, who took the VIP treat of holding notes. It’s their well whether to throw mind blowing questions or otherwise. Such a rigorous activity!
Information overload every time Ms. M. played her part on discussing child development, family planning, and even shotgun wedding!
Crispy lessons, macro skills being developed through the aid of our English teacher, Ms. T. Thank you ma'am for giving me the star grade on a particular draft I made. Your surprise plus points of the additional numbers you gave apart from the exact number of test items you'd prepared was a regret😌. Your strategies were quite a top-notch❤.
The impressive bound of paper was spent to accomplished the kinds of Letters you'd commanded Ma'am J. The return of our not- so attractive signage, was a manifestation of our cute insistence and ahh, our role-play "tragedy" was indeed a teary laugh out loud hahaha!
I love it when my audience are hanging on every word I said. Eyes are blinking. Mouths are agape. If I'm much lucky, I might as well receive hands' chuckles. Very attractive in a flamboyant way every time yrs. truly is in the aisle disclosing my topic. Want a tip? (Maybe on another story, if you want☺).
Our activities on Physical Education really keep the ship afloat. Here, which imitating animals is possible through dancing their usual movements plus our golden voice to complement. And yeah, tumbling is also possible. I did it! I felt as if a super hero, lol!
There was also a time to just sit, listening to lectures the whole day. Sometimes, we went uphill to plant a tree (the view is really ethereal, I'm not kidding). The Fun Day was the best: boodle fight, team building (I was a close-audience) and a raffle draw (I was an admirer to winners). It had been, such a bad luck, although there was plenty of that.
My appeal was finally taken into account. I was spotted and hired as an actress😉. Yes, and an antagonist, dancing seductively amid crowd (we're the bitch girls ya know).
Delightfully, I also accepted to be part of the "Variety Show" on our Humanities subject. I was one of our version, cute "kpop dancers". Also I ramp as a model (imagine my charisma(). Well, the behind the scene of keeping our things to a specific room and being transferred to another place, made us to be horrible-worried (what if our things get lost?) Well, don't worry. We're still cute hahaha!
First year, Academic Year 2015-2016. Amusing and rich. This is an era where we became witnesses to what occurred- DEBESMSCAT transformation (most of the road was cemented, buildings established, and more). This year taught us how to deal " temporariness ". Events and people may come and go (as there's a resection happened. It was melancholic and bad at first, though we'd managed to love our new company. It happened for a purpose).
Above all, the opportunities mentioned above influence to the blossoming me. Inside and outside❤.
Second year shenanigans were a complex haven of:
Fun with crease forehead, yeah it's a good way to solve logic of crazy subjects (maybe we should be ultra-sensible on different concepts under the sun).
Consoling myself to know a couple of authors from different land and intensify my readership. I was granted a friend to bond with or a passport of escape toward different spheres or influence my perspective into notions I overlook. Literature of Afro-Asia and America are exceptionally sumptuous.
The endeavor on pursuing this major was tested by its vastness. A field being riddled with inconsistencies and complexities. These I found out, spice the beauty of the English Language (I'm trying my best to fit in).
Turn to our melodramatic appearance to the selection of our houses (H.P). Ohh, I mean, our mournful reaction to the reselection" of the most "compatible English major student". Unfortunately, some of our classmates departed. Others stayed, continue thriving.
On the other hand, the wrath of Mrs. C diffused flickered toxic flakes of fire towards her enemies (we don't know, she's such curmudgeon), then the show goes on.
Welcome to the lively (though we often were tardy, one hour and more late) ballgames of our Physical Education, the legend of " plastic bottle rivalry ", where we competed to the" Olympic level", defenses were great! Variety of games reeled off as well.
The whereabouts, and other wh's of Rizal's life was being browse to and fro. The course allowed us to travel foreign countries and persuaded us to inculcate patriotism, close family ties, strengthen interpersonal relationships as well as fortify our love to both writing and reading.
This maybe worth to justify a front page article of anti-ignorance pamphlet. Thanks to our Taxation subject I learned how to construct a monopoly and knew the "how's" of playing it.
First trip outside the campus, headed to Masbate City was pretty remarkable. The observation was blessed with heavy rain that was why it encompasses only the morning session. The rest of the afternoon was celebrated inside the Gaisano Capital and some persisted on wandering outside. I was really challenged on answering the episodes comprised in one book. Dear pink of superlative long Talk Show.
Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there was a kingdom. Nah. Fairy tale. I'm not a princess hahaha!
I was goddess Diana. This is true! I will tell you the entire event as incredibly, as it was. It did happened and I know you have faith in my veracity. Thank you.
So listen, I played goddess Diana on our movie project for Mythology and Folklore subject. I was one of the main characters as I had my twin, Apollo (J.L): envied by my beauty and dared to steal the love of my life.
This is so far one of the most amazing cast I'd been with. I somewhat felt as if such real "star" of haunting compatible location, wearing selected wardrobe, make-up session, plus acting. My goodness!
I shed tears. Releases speech of reactions, ideas. I love the whole clan❤.
I stepped into another interesting academic year and received the token, a piece of puzzle to suit another piece of rollercoaster chip.
Picked up a nice piece of sagacity change, filled with heaviness plate. Goodly third year store of:
An individual is meant to be: having a kind of life he/she makes. On my part, when assignation was imposed to the class in spite of his great authoritative charisma- I volunteered to be the fourth discussant. The road to the presentation was bitter sweet.
Remembering the heavy rain (I had a sudden attack of deja vo and was convinced it happened before). I continued my tread to the internet café. Apparently, this time was different as I succeeded on ticking off my task in the queue of my to do list. Just like other presentations, I nailed it and really enjoyed the "no comment" disposition of my instructor (of course my nerves functioned crazily and weird).
The groupings of good fortune I could identify as an immersion intensifying my potentials: on becoming an excellent English teacher (maybe?)
May it knowing the basic characteristics and personality of students, condition of learning environment, importance of societal linkages, getting to know our role to making and administering exams as well as grading students. All through brought by our favorite teacher: with great humor, who brought us cute pasalubong of Indonesian raisins and corn bits, the one with elegant fashion and style, the great story teller- a very informative. One of the Incredibles- Mrs. L.
The other one on our Assessment subject, Mrs. B is a mathematician, small but terrible teacher with long hair as Rapunzel. And ohh, she had noticed our habitually tardiness (sorry ma'am).
Goosebumps. Even the hair of our nape aroused. She indeed scared us by narrating extra standard of being a member of English Department. Agape as she discussed complex ideas effortlessly. Later on, our relationship blossomed info friendship (sometimes our classmates teased her with nonsense jokes and we usually laughed, heartily. Thank you for your occasional bitter and sour advice's Mrs. A.)
Here's another cast of taciturn and witty character, once treated the whole class with luscious yema Nam.Nam.Nam! I like his preaching about the books he'd read, the movies he'd watched, researches he found out, and other topics under the sun (and its slumber time zzzz).
The most elegant and genius I've ever meet. He's really inspiring and worth emulating. His innovativeness, proficiency, and competence were top-notch. I was even tricked, believing he came from the foreign land. Good lord! His articulation was perfect and English fluency was unbelievably polish (patch are all the positive adjective may use to vividly describe his "super" qualities). Thank you Sir A. We've learned quite a big deal (salute to your short, mind cracking exam hahaha).
The privilege of critiquing world class composition was needless to say crispylicious challenge! Quite a lot of hard work. Getting to know the context behind and beyond by truly novice, trying hard editors lol!
Came the litany of written ethics. Memorizing here and there and everywhere. What a wonderful legacy (feeling our moral as teacher needed a bit of stretching every now and then).
Another token was thrown in our plate: the symphonies of curriculum builders and my capabilities was tested, remarkable: pioneer whom systematically organized most of the concepts (I will never forget such piece of cake amid endeavors, thank you L.).
Two location as means of employing our "observation powers". What a field trip of fast and not furious. Informative and at the same time...tiring!
Most of us are looking for some folks that may spice our worthwhile living. Requiring this and that characteristics, be this and that witty, have this and that aura, and the list goes on. Sometimes, if we're that lucky, we'll found them on places we never knew would be. In situation we don't wish for. In event, spontaneously flows.
They're my found Fam that helped me through ups and downs, showed me the craziness of happy go Lucky (Chill. Events will scroll, let it be), showed their varied aptitudes, talents, and ideas, showed me how to deal life, masking it with jokes and humor and comic!
The entire years of thriving and enduring, held with one majority gleaming detail: I found friendships. The sentimental. The amazing. The gem that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
Dear English 1B, 2B, 3B, and 4B we've done so much quirks hahaha! (We're very good at this, so to speak). You all indeed are my happy pill. I thank you so much for letting your presence influence my life positively (I never thought schooling would be that easy? 😃) I had so much fun with you guys. So much anecdotes to tell. So much memories to live with.
Most of all the topmost sphere, we're able to win our each and every crown. We're the sovereign imposing our well on whatever opportunities we may encounter. Trekking to this labyrinth arena of pros and cons. Let us continue pursuing our breakthrough.
God bless and good luck to all of us😇.
